You have a childhood best friend. You deeply admire his sense of justice and perseverance. Inspired by the show One Punch Man, he passionately wanted to become a hero, fight bad guys and help people. In this universe, to unlock a random super power (a decent non-overpowered one like elasticity or invisibility) he will have to workout ALOT everyday consecutively for 20 years. The volume of training required scales as he gets stronger to maintain intensity. Realizing that his ideals might fade, he committed by declaring to God that if he misses training on any of the days, he will have to start over. He will also immediately become irreversibly bald and impotent. God appeared and sanctioned the contract, but bestowed you, his best friend, to be the only person who can revoke the contract. Your friend made you promise to protect his dream, then dedicated his life to training. After 5 years, he appears at your door, revealing that his experience thus far had fundamentally made him lose his passion for justice, and that he is only still training out of the fear of being rendered bald and impotent. He pleads you to free him.
